ist anonymous der nuetzliche idiot?

// #anonymous //

„Die Welt wird zum Anlaß ihrer photographischen und filmischen Reproduktion, und die Bilder aus aller Welt ersetzen das Weltbild. Man könnte sagen: Das Bildsein gewinnt ontologischen Vorrang vor dem Sein. Neue Medien und Computertechnologien haben uns in diese Zone der Indifferenz von Sein und Schein, Wirklichkeit und Bild katapultiert. Die Welt der Simulakra absorbiert den Schein und liquidiert das Reale.“

// vs #cyberwar (classic: no such thing) //

[..] Owners with the wit to have backed up their data and applications can resynthesize their networks regardless of who has messed with them. Indeed, a large percentage of exploits require physical access to a system to work. Furthermore, there is no ipso facto relationship between keeping the bad guys out and getting into where the bad guys live – even if such underlying factors as the relative quantity and quality of each others’ hackers predisposes success or failure at both. In short, there is no such thing as a single cyberspace, but at least two: yours and theirs. Without a common space, there is no such thing as supremacy. [..]

weekly outlook.

dear web, as massive computing will come down to the neighbourhood rather sooner than later, prizewise and processwise, you can start now to introduce yourself to that pattern of survival; militant indirection 3-, 4-way or even more, and scalable weak links: effective distribution of knowledge, goods and services will work either this way, or not at all. same is valid for politics & society at large: either evolutionary change will outperform the dumbs, or we all are going to swiftly meet desaster. genrl signs of danger are any anti-p2p utterance, strong copyright and patent regulatives that destroy innovation, goallessness and nihilism of social media practice [ esp. interacting with thousands of 'close' friends online ], anything that ressembles stuffing, censorship and an uncontrolled police. you did not plan that, i know. i’m sorry to say that this is more of an observation than a prediction, and it is all but simple. have a nice day.

Rezension: Die kollektive Intelligenz von Pierre Lévy

    • hierarchischen

Why Most Facebook Marketing Doesn’t Work

  • Why Most Facebook Marketing Doesn’t Work

does a youth-oriented clothing brand really need to validate that it is 16 to 25 year-old women that are engaging with the brand?

    • does a youth-oriented clothing brand really need to validate that it is 16 to 25 year-old women that are engaging with the brand?
    • It’s got to look good, and be on brand. In the early days of Facebook, a brand could put up a basic presence with some turnkey apps, and users accepted that. Now that Facebook is all grown up, a brand presence needs to be on par with its website. Facebook users are savvy and will judge your brand in comparison to the best they’ve seen.

    • logistical nightmare
    • iFrame tabs in pages, an existing e-commerce site can be skinned to fit in a 520-pixel-wide Facebook Fan Page
  • Why Most Facebook Marketing Doesn’t Work

    tags: facebook marketing news:y2011m02

    • There should only be one engagement feature per tab.
    • Even clothing brands can’t pull this off.
    • If you must run a photo or video Facebook campaign, the best way to do it is actually NOT in an app.
    • Then have users get their friends to Like the photos or videos

wer alles unterstreicht…

doch ‘keine (einzelne) plattform’ ist die neue plattform; pipelines sind vereinbarungssache, nervenbahnen gibt es genuegend. was es braucht ist ein vokabular, moderne methoden fuer moderne probleme.

nice mag,

read ‘Refactoring Your Wetware: Rewire Your Brain to Get More Great Ideas’. while ideas are useless without the ability to execute, the article is a fine read.

TED University in Long Beach, Tom Wujec

TED University in Long Beach, Tom Wujec talks about how the brain creates meaning and how we can take advantage of that. In the end Wujec suggests we use images in three ways: (1) Use images to clarify ideas. (2) Use images to create engagement with your ideas. (3) Use images to augment memory with persistent and evolving views.
